After being drafted second overall by Carolina in 2002 after a two-sport career at North Carolina, Peppers became one of the league’s most dominant linemen.
He had 12 sacks as a rookie and never let up in a 17-year career that included stops in Chicago and Green Bay before finishing with the Panthers. In 2004, 2006, and 2010, he was named an All-Pro.
Peppers finished his career with 159 1/2 sacks, the fourth most since the statistics were first recorded in 1982, and had ten seasons with double-digit sacks. Only Bruce Smith (13) and Reggie White (12) had a higher total.
Peppers had 25.0 sacks in three seasons with the Packers and was named to his final Pro Bowl in 2015. Julius Peppers has 37 solo tackles, 8 assists, 10.0 sacks, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 interception in his career against the Packers.
