On Tuesday, the Minnesota Vikings activated wide receiver Justin Jefferson from injured reserve, which will have ramifications for other NFL teams, including the Green Bay Packers. Jefferson hasn’t played since Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs, when he suffered a hamstring injury.

Minnesota will have a bye week in Week 13, and Jefferson will return in Week 14. So far this season, he has 36 receptions for 571 yards and three touchdowns. Justin Jefferson has been targeted 53 times this season and has averaged 15.9 yards per reception.

When healthy, he is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. They plan to have him back in time for the NFC wild card race. Minnesota is currently 6-6 on the season. The Green Bay Packers have a 5-6 record and are the NFC’s eighth seed. The playoff race will be tight until the very end of the regular season.

In Week 17, Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings face the Green Bay Packers, with a possible playoff spot on the line.

The Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers will meet for the second time this season on New Year’s Eve on Sunday night football. Minnesota defeated Green Bay in the first game, and Jefferson did not play. He will almost certainly face the Packers.

By the time Week 17 arrives, no one knows what will happen. The Packers’ cornerback situation has been a nightmare all season. Jaire Alexander has been out with an injury all season, and everyone expected him to square off against Jefferson.

Eric Stokes is attempting to return to the field after dealing with his own injuries. Before the NFL trade deadline, Rasul Douglas was traded to the Buffalo Bills. Green Bay’s primary healthy cornerbacks have recently been Kelsey Nixon, Carrington Valentine, and Corey Ballentine.

However, by the time Week 17 arrives, they may have the same record heading into the game. Both teams could face elimination in this game. Last season, the Green Bay Packers faced the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17 with their backs against the wall and won convincingly. When Justin Jefferson faces the Packers’ defense, there will be plenty of drama.
