The Raiders released Teamer on Monday, according to The Athletic’s Vic Tafur.

According to Vincent Bonsignore of Vegas Nation, head coach Antonio Pierce stated that the release was due to “off the field” behavior:

“Whatever you do off the field has an impact on the decisions that will be made in this building.” And we’ll do everything we can to protect the Raiders brand, shield, and organization.”

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (KTNV) — Roderic Teamer no longer plays for the Las Vegas Raiders.

On Monday morning, head coach Antonio Pierce announced that the team had “parted ways” with Teamer.

This comes after Teamer was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and speeding on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, he was released from police custody and did not play in the game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Pierce stated that it serves as another reminder to players and staff that their behavior off the field can have consequences.

“I have the utmost respect for Teamer as a person.” I got to know him well, we had many good conversations, and I wish him the best. “Sometimes it’s just bad timing, and this is one of those cases,” Pierce explained. “I believe that all of our guys need to understand this.” Whatever you do off the field has an impact on the decisions that will be made in this building, and we will do everything in our power to protect the brand, the shield, and the Raiders organization.”

Teamer appeared in six games this season, the most recent of which was on Oct. 15 against the New England Patriots.
