Douglas Luiz is reportedly determined to stay at Aston Villa in the January transfer window.
According to a recent report from 90min, the Villains will do everything they can to fend off interest from three Premier League clubs.
Following an impressive spell for the Brazilian, Luiz, 25, who has become a vital player for Unai Emery, has piqued the interest of some of the league’s top clubs.
According to reports, Arsenal and Liverpool have joined treble winners Manchester City in the race to sign the South American.
However, with Luiz under contract until the end of the season, the Villains are unlikely to lose the 25-year-old.
Emery is set to block any approaches for his influential number six in order to ensure he does not leave during the mid-season window.
The summer transfer window could bring a different outcome, but for the time being, it appears the Midlands-based club will keep their first-choice defensive midfielder for at least another six months.
Luiz, who has represented Brazil on ten occasions, has directly contributed to 35 goals in 171 games across all competitions during his four years at Villa Park.
