The New York Jets are expected to pursue a trade with the Green Bay Packers.

For at least a few seasons, the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers will be linked. The franchise-altering Aaron Rodgers trade will have the two franchises comparing their success for the rest of Rodgers’ tenure in New York. As it turns out, by the start of the next season, that comparison could be taken to the next level.

The New York Jets intend to pursue former Green Bay Packers star wide receiver Davante Adams in the future.

During the New York Jets’ Sunday loss to the Buffalo Bills, a report speculated on their potential 2024 plans. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Davante Adams is expected to be on the Jets’ off-season wish list.

Insider questions if Jets can trade for Davante Adams | Yardbarker

The New York Jets’ search for offensive answers will likely extend into the offseason, when they will likely revisit the possibility of acquiring a player they have had their eye on since last summer.

Before last month’s trade deadline, the Jets inquired about reuniting Pro Bowl wide receiver Davante Adams with Aaron Rodgers, but were quickly turned down.

However, the Jets may not take no for an answer, as sources in the NFL believe New York will pursue Adams again this offseason.

“That will happen,” an ESPN source said. “I think so.”

According to sources, whether the Raiders consider trading Adams will be determined by how their season ends. Since naming interim head coach Antonio Pierce, the Raiders (5-5) have won both of their games and gained recognition and respect from across the league, while Adams has appeared and sounded overjoyed.

Would The Los Angeles Raiders Ever Trade Adams?

According to Adam Schefter, the Raiders have informed teams that they have no interest in trading Davante Adams in 2022. That held true as the trade deadline passed and Adams remained in place. Despite Adams’ public dissatisfaction with his role in the Las Vegas offense, the Raiders have stated that they do not intend to trade the six-time Pro Bowler.

NBC Sports NFL insider Peter King is skeptical that the Jets will be able to reunite their former teammates before next season:

5 Teams That Could Trade For Davante Adams

“If the value of Adams in the 2022 Green Bay-Vegas trade was first- and second-round picks, you’d think the value in 2024 would be less, but what exactly? “I’d guess a first-round pick or two second-round picks,” King explained in his latest “Football Morning in America” column.

“The Jets will argue that Adams’ value shouldn’t be that much because he turns 32 during the season next year and will be playing his 11th year.”

We’ve seen some rather unexpected massive trades over the last two offseasons, but this one seems unlikely to happen.
