Green Bay Packers Fans React to a Surprising Hospitalization Following a Victory Over the Los Angeles Chargers
On Sunday, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Los Angeles Chargers. A 23-20 victory not only boosted the confidence of this young Packers team, but it also vaulted the Packers into the eighth seed in the NFC. That puts them one seed away from the final Wild Card spot.
On the other hand, it wasn’t all good news on Sunday. Aaron Jones and Emanuel Wilson were among those who suffered serious injuries. Many fans were taken aback by an injury that surfaced after the game.
News from the Packers
Green Bay Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur announced that tight end Luke Musgrave was taken to the hospital following the Packers’ victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
It was reported to us by Robin Adams of Wisconsin Sports Heroics:
According to The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman, Coach LaFleur stated that Musgrave was suffering from a “significant” abdominal injury. He also claimed that Musgrave was injured during the game but did not notify the team until Monday morning.
While the nature of Musgrave’s injury is unknown, LaFleur did state that he was taken to the hospital and that it was “a scary situation.” Musgrave was released from the hospital on Tuesday afternoon.
Aside from Musgrave, veteran Josiah Deguara is questionable for Thursday due to a hip injury. This leaves rookies Tucker Kraft and Ben Sims as the Packers’ tight end options.
LaFleur did not say how long Musgrave would be out, but he did say he would be placed on injured reserve right away. He would not, however, rule out a stint on the disabled list if he does not improve.
This is a significant setback for the Packers’ offense. Musgrave is only 23 yards away from breaking Bubba Franks’ team rookie record for tight end receiving yards. In addition, he was on pace to break Sterling Sharpe’s franchise rookie record for receptions in a season (55).

Losing him is the last thing the team needs as it prepares for a pivotal Week 12 matchup against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving.
