Christian Watson defends ‘circle’ despite Packers, Jordan Love criticism
Christian Watson, a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers, scored his second touchdown of the season on Sunday afternoon. This comes just one week after his family slammed Packers fans and Jordan Love.

Christian Watson, a wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers, scored his second touchdown of the season against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. Some Packers fans have criticized Watson, claiming he hasn’t lived up to his end of the bargain as Jordan Love’s presumed No. 1 target.

During the last week, Watson’s family defended him, with his father comparing the Packers’ wide receivers’ numbers to Davante Adams’ early-career stats. Watson’s brother also appeared to take a shot at Jordan Love, escalating the feud with Packers fans.

“You all are about as bad as it gets, and I played in Philly with their schizophrenic fans,” Watson’s father is said to have said.

Watson’s brother also implied that Jordan Love wasn’t up to par, which isn’t a good sign given how much money the Packers have invested in Love’s development. The last thing he needs is to be cathing strays from one of his top wide receivers’ family members.

Christian Watson praises the Packers’ inner circle following their big win.
So I understand Watson’s appreciation for those close to him for keeping him sane. However, one can only hope that he had serious discussions with them about how to treat his teammates and/or fans. It’s one thing to defend Watson, but criticizing his fanbase and the player who throws him the ball appears to be detrimental to the team’s success.

Are we creating something from nothing? Perhaps, but after scoring his second touchdown of the season, Watson and his ‘circle’ will feel a little more love from those who have been bashing them for the last week-plus.

Fans of the Green Bay Packers are accustomed to Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams. Their expectations are reasonable, if not always fair. If Watson grows into the type of player that Packers fans expect him to be, there should be no issues moving forward.
