Bruno Guimaraes is struggling, and Newcastle United’s star has withdrawn from the national squad

Newcastle United internationals: A look at the Magpies players who have been called up to represent their country during the international break.

Several Newcastle United players have played during the international break, while others have been forced to withdraw from their national squads.

During the November international break, 14 club-contract players were called up. Two have been forced to withdraw owing to injuries, while another has been added over the weekend.

Many others have been in action as the Euro 2024 qualifiers come to a close ahead of the tournament in Germany next summer.

Two Newcastle players were part of squads that have now confirmed their spot at Euro 2024 in the last week, while others have suffered setbacks.

Brazil’s World Cup qualification difficulties continued last week when they lost consecutive qualifier games for the first time in their history in what has been a challenging qualifying campaign so far, with world champions Argentina up next.

The Magpies will be hopeful that all of their international players survive the break as head coach Eddie Howe deals with a ‘bizarre’ injury issue back on Tyneside. Newcastle presently has 14 first-team players out with injuries or unable to participate ahead of the club’s next Premier League encounter against Chelsea at home following the international break.

Any additional injuries would be devastating to Howe’s already thin team.

During the break, current Newcastle players will represent seven different countries, while one of the club’s loan players has also been called up.

Here are the Newcastle United players who have been called up to their respective countries for the November international break…
