Dr. Rajpal Brar, an injury expert, has joined us as an exclusive columnist. He’ll be giving his thoughts on Aston Villa’s injury situation every week…

According to Dr. Rajpal Brar, Aston Villa defender Diego Carlos’ response to rehabilitation has been inconsistent during his muscle injury.

According to the injury expert, he could miss the game against Tottenham Hotspur on November 26th, and the Villa medics will take things as they come.

Emery revealed that he is out with an injury ahead of the Fulham game over the weekend, but he did not elaborate on how serious it was.

Dr. Brar, a physical therapist and sports scientist, told Villa News about his injury:

“It sounds like a muscular injury, but his response to rehab has been inconsistent, so we’ll have to play it by ear.”

“There is still a chance he will miss the game because the club has not revealed how serious the injury is.”

“All Emery is saying is that it might be a minor injury.”

Carlos has been Villa’s backup center-back this season, making more appearances off the bench than starts.

Emery has started him whenever he’s been fit in the UEFA Conference League, but it’s been a different story at home.

The 30-year-old also found the back of the net in the Conference League, which must have given him confidence to be a threat from set pieces.

In other Aston Villa news, a rising star has given Unai Emery pause for thought, and his Aston Villa debut is almost certainly on the way in the coming weeks.
