The partnership between Real Union and Aston Villa is expected to be announced within the next month.
Unai Emery, the head coach of Villa, owns a majority stake in the third-tier club, which he purchased two and a half years ago. Emery’s father and grandfather both played for the Irundarra team.
V Sports is set to partner with Union, according to reports earlier this month. The Villa owners have already formed partnerships with Egypt’s ZED FC and Portugal’s Vitória Sport Clube in order to expand their portfolio.

According to El Diario Vasco, Union will terminate its agreement with Real Sociedad before partnering with Villa. A four-year contract is expected to be announced “within the next month.”
However, it is reported that the agreement will not initially bring Union into the V Sports group of clubs. It would instead be a “sporting collaboration” that would result in “economic endowment” for the club.
According to the report, this would be a “important relief” and would exceed Real Sociedad’s contribution. Before making an official statement, the next steps are said to be terminating the contract with Sociedad and finalizing the agreement with Villa.
