Former Leeds United midfielder’revives’ career, while….

Former Leeds United talent Ronaldo Vieira has revived his career with current club Sampdoria, according to reports in Italy. According to ClubDoria46, former Whites talent Vieira has ‘finally taken charge’ of the Genoa club, with boss Andrea Pirlo devising a system to bring out the best in him.

According to the report, the midfielder has not performed like this since his time at Elland Road. Despite previous struggles, the 25-year-old is said to have gained Pirlo’s trust and has appeared in the last 11 games.

Following the international break, Leeds United will face a Rotherham United side led by a new manager, after the Millers sacked manager Matt Taylor following Saturday’s 5-0 thrashing at Watford.

Taylor was in charge of the Millers for 13 months after taking over from Paul Warne, and he was able to keep them in the Championship last season, something Warne was unable to do. Despite record spending in the summer, the team has had a harrowing start to the season, culminating in the heaviest defeat of Taylor’s reign at the weekend.

The dismal defeat to bottom-club Sheffield Wednesday a fortnight ago is thought to have played a role in his departure, as the club has not won away from home in over a year. Taylor leaves the Millers with two wins in their first 16 games and a four-point lead.

When 15-year-old Finlay Gorman completes his transfer to Manchester City in the near future, Leeds United will receive a seven-figure sum. The Whites’ academy sensation made headlines in recent months, with videos of his talent going viral online, and the Premier League champions were quick to pounce.

Leeds are disappointed to see Gorman leave and tried to persuade him to stay, especially after Archie Gray’s successful rise to the first team. However, after visiting City’s training facility, Gorman has decided to take the risk and fight his way through a crowded path to senior football.

The news, first reported by The Athletic, highlights clubs’ lack of power over players they developed before the age of 17. Gorman would not be eligible to sign professional terms with Leeds until September 2025, giving him time to develop elsewhere.
