Leicester City midfielder breaks his silence on “the worst thing,” revealing the team’s rejection.

Nampalys Mendy discusses his departure from the King Power Stadium for Lens in the most recent news about Leicester City from LeicestershireLive.

Nampalys Mendy claims that since leaving Leicester City, he is “living again.”

After his contract with the Foxes expired in the summer, the 31-year-old midfielder signed with Lens of Ligue 1. Admitting to being “just waiting” for his King Power Stadium contract to expire, he says Brendan Rodgers had “progressively sidelined” him.

He signed a contract with Lens that would last until 2025, and now he plays Champions League football, a far cry from the Premier League relegation he experienced with City in his last season there. Furthermore, he has determined that the arrival of Rodgers in February 2019 to succeed Claude Puel marked a turning point in his Leicester career.

Mendy informed L’Equipe, “Everything was going well until Puel was fired.” “After another coach, Rodgers, arrived, I started to get more and more injured.

He never provided me with any feedback. “I don’t have anything against you,” he simply repeated.

The worst part was that the club turned me down when I wanted to leave. I was just waiting for my contract to expire at the end. To be honest, I’ve been living again ever since.
