WEST HAM UNITED ARE INTERESTED IN SIGNING A 27-YEAR-OLD STRIKER IN JANUARY.

West Ham United, managed by David Moyes, has been linked with Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho.

According to TEAMtalk, West Ham United, Crystal Palace, and Brentford are all interested in buying Leicester City midfielder Kelechi Iheanacho in the January transfer window.

The forward was reportedly desired by Palace in the summer of 2023.

Iheanacho’s contract with Leicester expires at the end of the season.

The Foxes are now playing in the Championship after being relegated from the Premier League at the end of last season.

According to the source, Leicester manager Enzo Maresca does not want to lose Iheanacho in the middle of the season and wants him to sign a new contract.

West Ham United may struggle to sign Kelechi Iheanacho in January, in my opinion.

Leicester City are seeking for automatic promotion to the Premier League from the Championship.

This season, the Nigeria international attacker, 27, has made seven starts and eight substitute appearances in the Championship.

In those games, Leicester’s number 14 has five goals and one assist.

This season, the forward has also scored one goal and made one assist in two League Cup games.

Of course, money talks, and Iheanacho’s contract with Leicester expires at the end of the season, but the Foxes would be better off keeping him to improve their chances of gaining promotion to the Premier League.

It would make sense for the attacker to finish his contract at Leicester and then leave on a free transfer.

In 196 Premier League appearances, Iheanacho scored 42 goals and provided 25 assists.
