After a one-point loss against Milwaukee in their first game, Philadelphia is undefeated.

Embiid went 10-for-10 from the field and 9-for-9 from the free line in the third quarter to help the 76ers expand their lead to 120-98. Embiid has scored 40 points or more 40 times this season. In addition, he had 11 rebounds and six assists.

Tyrese Maxey had 22 points and 11 assists, Tobias Harris had 18 points, and DeAnthony Melton had a season-high 14 points.

Nicolas Baton scored 11 points on 4-for-5 shooting in his Sixers debut after being acquired as part of the transaction that sent James Harden to the Los Angeles Clippers.

For Washington, Kyle Kuzma had 28 points and Jordan Poole had 23. The Wizards have dropped four straight games and are now 1-5.

For the Lakers, who fell to 0-4 on the road, LeBron James scored 30 points. Austin Reaves finished with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists, one assist shy of a triple-double.

The Lakers were without Anthony Davis for the final 14 minutes due to a left hip spasm; he finished with nine points and six rebounds.

(MINNEAPOLIS) — Anthony Edwards scored eight of his 38 points in overtime to help Minnesota defeat Boston for the first time this season.

Minnesota advanced to 4-0 at home for the third time in a row with 20 points from Jadaniels and 14 points and 12 rebounds from Rudy Gobert.

For the Celtics, Jayson Tatum scored 32 points and Jaylen Brown added 26. The Bruins’ 6-0 start was their best since 2009-10.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – RJ Barrett got 26 points in his return to the lineup, and New York spoiled James Harden’s debut with Los Angeles.

Barrett had missed the previous two games due to a left knee injury.

In his first game since being traded from the Philadelphia 76ers, Harden played 31 minutes and produced 17 points and six assists.

Mitchell Robinson had 13 points and 14 rebounds to help the Knicks stop a two-game losing streak and win their first home game of the season.

The Clippers were led by Kawhi Leonard, who scored 18 points.

DENVER, Colo. (AP) — Nikola Jokic recorded his 108th triple-double with 35 points, 14 rebounds, and 12 assists as the Denver Nuggets rallied from a 20-point first-half deficit to defeat the New Orleans Pelicans.

Jokic moved into fourth position in triple-doubles, breaking a tie with LeBron James and Jason Kidd. He is 30 seconds behind Magic Johnson for third place.

Denver rookie Julian Strawther produced a career-high 21 points off the bench to help offset Jamal Murray’s absence due to a right hamstring injury.

Jordan Hawkins of New Orleans, starting in place of CJ McCollum, scored a career high with 31 points on 7-for-14 3-point shooting. McCollum was ruled out of the game on Sunday after an MRI revealed a collapsed lung.

Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs had his worst shooting night in his first back-to-back, going 3 of 12 and finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds. The Spurs were defeated at home by the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, with reserve Doug McDermott scoring 17 points.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Milwaukee defeated Brooklyn thanks to Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 36 points and 12 rebounds.

Damian Lillard scored 21 points, and Jae Crowder chipped in with 15. Milwaukee advanced to 4-2 on the road for the first time this season.

Cam Thomas led Brooklyn with 45 points, his fourth 30-point game of the season. Mikal Bridges led the way with 31 points, and Lonnie Walker IV chipped in with 19. Brooklyn dropped to 3-4 on the season and 0-3 at home.

DETROIT, MI (AP) — Steph Curry led the Warriors with 34 points, and Golden State dominated the offensive glass against Detroit.

Golden State got 17 offensive rebounds to Detroit’s seven, and the Warriors won the second-chance points battle 26-10.

The Warriors were led by Klay Thompson (17 points) and Chris Paul (17 points). For Detroit, Cade Cunningham and Killian Hayes each scored 21 points.

ROCKETS 122, KNIGHTS 97

HOUSTON, Texas (AP) – Jalen Green scored 23 points and Alperen Sengun had 17 points, 12 assists, and eight rebounds in Houston’s win over Sacramento.

The Rockets have won three consecutive games to improve to 3-3. They are.500 for the first time since Oct. 22, 2021, when they began the 2021-22 season with a 1-1 record.

Sengun came within two rebounds of his third career triple-double, completing the feat in just 26 minutes and without appearing in the fourth quarter.

Keon Ellis scored 15 points off the bench to lead the Kings, who were missing star De’Aaron Fox for the third game in a row due to a damaged right ankle.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (AP) – Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led Oklahoma City to a victory over Atlanta with 30 points.

The Thunder’s leading scorer missed Friday’s game against Golden State due to an injured left knee. He swiftly recovered, making 11 of 20 shots while grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out six assists.

Dejounte Murray led Atlanta with 29 points, and Trae Young added 22 points and 11 assists not far from where he starred for Oklahoma.

JAZZ 113 BULLS 130

CHICAGO, Ill. (AP) — Zach LaVine had 24 points and DeMar DeRozan had 21, as Chicago defeated Utah to stop a three-game losing run.

Coby White added 18 points as the Bulls set a season high for points. Jevon Carter nailed four 3-pointers and scored 12 points for Chicago, and Andre Drummond added 12 points from within the paint. Drummond had seven rebounds, bringing his career total to 10,000.

Utah’s Lauri Markkanen scored 29 points.
