During Tuesday’s group stage match against Newcastle United, Borussia Dortmund fans sent a loud message in opposition to UEFA Champions League reforms.

Borussia Dortmund fans have never been shy in expressing their displeasure with the UEFA Champions League regulations that are slated to take effect next season. During BVB’s Champions League group stage match against Newcastle United on Tuesday, the Yellow Wall held a banner opposing the revisions once more.

“You don’t care about the sport – all you care about is money!” read the banner. At the start of the second half, supporters put up another banner with photographs of former Juventus manager Andrea Agnelli, FIFA president Gianni Infantino, and Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.

The UEFA Champions League is slated to undergo a dramatic overhaul next season, with a total of 36 teams expected to compete. The group stage will be replaced by a league phase in which teams will play eight matches rather than six.

This is not the first time that Borussia Dortmund fans have protested against UEFA Champions League reforms and rising football salaries. Similar banners were also exhibited during this weekend’s Bundesliga match versus Bayern Munich, as well as earlier in the season.
