Arsenal are considering a transfer after an Aston Villa player expressed his feelings.

BirminghamLive brings you the latest Aston Villa news as Arsenal considers a move for another Brazilian midfielder.

Arsenal are apparently interested in Fluminense midfielder Andre, as well as Aston Villa star Douglas Luiz.

According to the Brazilian newspaper UOL, Arsenal has been keeping tabs on Andre in recent months. However, Liverpool and Fulham are thought to be interested, with the latter taking the lead.

If the Gunners are unable to sign Andre, they may be obliged to redirect their focus back to the in-form Luiz in the new year. Mikel Arteta has always admired Luiz, who has been in superb form under Unai Emery.

Brazil’s head coach, Fernando Diniz, has recognized his accomplishments, and Luiz will join the national team ahead of this month’s internationals.

Of course, Villa’s stance is clear; Luiz signed a new long-term contract in October of last year after Arsenal turned down three deadline-day bids. The Brazilian joined B6 from Manchester City in 2019 and has established himself as a mainstay in midfield.

After signing a new contract, Luiz expressed his passion for the club. “I’m overjoyed. “I’m in love with this club,” he said. “I love the people here, the staff, the players; I’m so at ease and happy here.”

When asked why he chose to dedicate his future to the club, Luiz explained, “Because I love this club, this club opened the door for me to come here to England and play in the Premier League.” The club has given me the space, and I’m overjoyed because I’m remaining here and have made my decision.”
