Mikel Arteta rages in an explosive press conference following Newcastle United’s victory.

The Arsenal boss reacted angrily after his team was defeated 1-0 by Anthony Gordon’s dubious goal.

After Arsenal were defeated 1-0 by Anthony Gordon’s winner at St James’ Park, Mikel Arteta went insane in front of the media.

In the post-game press conference, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger lambasted referees and questioned the Premier League’s credibility, leaving reporters stunned. VAR assessed Gordon’s goal THREE times before Stuart Attwell awarded it, with officials looking for the ball maybe going out of play, a possible foul, and a possible offside.

“I feel sick,” Arteta stated later. It’s a travesty. I’m embarrassed to be here to defend this club.

Dan Ashworth was questioned about England’s possible interest in Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe.

“What happened – how this goal stands in the Premier League – this league we say is the best in the world – is embarrassing.” I’ve been in this country for 20 years and I’m embarrassed. It’s a travesty, and there’s just too much at stake.

“Every week, we try to do incredible things and perform at the highest level.” When we aren’t good enough, I raise my hands and accept responsibility.”

“The result should not be what it is – there are many reasons for that,” Arteta remarked, adding that it was not a fair result for Newcastle.

“The outcome is nowhere near the standard this league has to have and the method this league is getting competed in. It is insufficient. I feel uncomfortable to be part of this.”

Arsenal have already suffered their first Premier League defeat, with Newcastle moving up to sixth place. The Magpies head to Dortmund with a lot of pep in their step ahead of Tuesday’s match.
