Newcastle United fans have reacted angrily to the news that star midfielder Sandro Tonali has been banned from gambling for ten months.

According to Gabriele Gravina, president of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), the offenses occurred while he was playing for his old team, AC Milan.

Tonali would have to go through an eight-month rehabilitation phase as part of the arrangement, according to Gravina.

Tonali’s agent stated that the athlete has a gambling addiction and that he has fully cooperated with Italian authorities.
