Villa’s betting investigation player is available to speak with the Hammers.
Nicolo Zaniolo of Aston Villa is free to play against the Irons despite being questioned about the illicit betting incident in Italian football.
Zaniolo and Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali, as well as West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta, are among those implicated in the current large-scale investigation.
Villa acknowledged that Zaniolo is cooperating with the inquiry and has spoken with senior club officials, but he stays in training in preparation for Sunday’s game – the only game on TV this Sunday.
More than 40 people are currently implicated in these charges, which have been particularly p
rominent in Italy.
Juventus player Nicolo Fagiolo earned a seven-month punishment for violations after confessing his guilt, and in the UK, Ivan Toney is back in action after doing the same.
However, Hammers star midfielder Paqueta claims he is innocent of any wrongdoing as the Football Association [robe] investigates his case.
