Moyes is hesitant to make a fresh contract choice.
David Moyes has stated that he is not ready to make a decision on whether or not he will sign a new contract with West Ham.

The same can be said for the Hammers’ board, who have stated that they will wait until the end of the season before commencing discussions with the Scot.

There was widespread speculation throughout the summer that the manager would decide to retire on a high note following the Conference success in Prague. The board even proposed it, and the arrival of a new technical director was reported to have given Moyes considerable concern, to the point that he was considering leaving. He ultimately opted to stay after seeing the board stick by him in the face of intense fan pressure to fire him.

Moyes is hesitant to make a contract decision.

Now, however, he is hesitant to make a definitive judgment on whether a return to the club is on his agenda.

‘At the moment, I’m good,’ he told the Mail. I’m solely concerned about the team’s success, keeping us going and maintaining the focus on that. I’m sure there will come a moment when we will address it, but for now, I’m content to go along with it and see what happens.’

He says although he had no intention of leaving away in the summer declaring: ‘No, because I thought ‘my goodness, I’m just at the start’. I constantly believe that the best is yet to come. I had to believe it throughout difficult times, and now I’m thinking, “Wow, look how good I’ve got the team right now.”

‘I truly believe we will continue down that path. I always think the finest thing about myself is that I can establish football clubs and provide them stability. I believe West Ham probably needed that when I arrived, and there are signs of it both on and off the field, which I hope will continue to flourish.
