Leeds midfielder Max Wober has impressed on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach, prompting calls for the Bundesliga club to sign him permanently. Nils Schmadtke, the club’s CEO, has previously reacted to those calls, encouraging fans to be patient because it is still early in the season.

Rheinische Post has since released an update, stating that Monchengladbach will only be able to recruit Wober on a permanent basis if Leeds are not promoted to the Premier League at the first time of asking. Last season, Wober joined Leeds in the January transfer window.

The Radrizzani era has come to an end.

Leeds’ affiliation with Andrea Radrizzani formally ended last month, as evidenced by changes in documentation filed with the British Government.

Radrizzani’s term as chairman and owner of Leeds United ended in the summer, when the Italian tycoon handed up management of his majority investment in the club to minority partners 49ers Enterprises. Radrizzani is now in charge of Serie B team Sampdoria in his hometown, and his stint at Leeds has officially ended thanks to documentation submitted to corporations House – the British Government department that maintains the registry of corporations in the United Kingdom.

On October 20, 2023, official documents confirming Radrizzani’s termination as a person with significant control in Elland Road Ltd – the entity that owns Leeds’ home ground – were issued, reflecting changes made in the transfer of ownership, as well as confirmation that the Italian’s status as director had been terminated. Massimo Marinelli, a former Elland Road board member, is also no longer recognized as a director.

Furthermore, John Edward ‘Jed’ York and Paraag Marathe have been designated as individuals with considerable control. Both men are loyal 49ers fans, with the latter serving on the Elland Road board of directors; York, meanwhile, is a substantial investment.

Gray management, according to Farke

Leeds manager Farke says he chose to keep first-team midfielder Archie Gray out of full training when he returned from international duty to manage the teen’s workload.

“I’m happy Archie came through [international duty] without any injuries but the load was immense and that’s why I decided today to leave him just in the dressing room and just [do] a recovery session and not with us on the pitch to train,” Farke said during his pre-match press conference. “It’s not great for us, I would have preferred it the other way around but it’s reality and you have to accept it.”
