The Lions, who were defeated 3-0 at home by Leeds last month, are 15th in the Championship league, having missed out on the play-offs last season while Whites duo Charlie Cresswell and Jamie Shackleton were on loan.

Bell, the executive director for the past seven years, will be a familiar sight to everyone who has visited the Elland Road directors’ box since 2016. During Whites games, the former Sheffield Wednesday and Portsmouth manager would sit beside Angus Kinnear, Victor Orta, and Radrizzani.

“After nine years as Leeds United’s executive director, leading the commercial operations, Paul Bell has decided to pursue new opportunities,” the club announced in a statement. He has helped alter the club’s commercial performance at Elland Road, with significant growth across all business units.
