Everton manager Richard Kenyon talks out regarding the Bramley-Moore Dock development in the aftermath of the 777 takeover.

Despite a twist in the proposed 777 Partners ownership of Everton, Peter Kenyon has announced that the new Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium is on track.

The Toffees’ chief commercial and communications officer remarked on a panel at the Leaders Week Summit in London on Wednesday (18 October, via the Liverpool Echo) that the primary shape of the stadium is there and the roof is almost finished, with the seats coming in a couple of weeks.

“Everything is on track, as we would want it to be,” Kenyon added. “Everyone who has seen it can begin to imagine now, from this stage in construction, what a fantastic venue it will be.”

“It’s a stunning location, a stunning construction, and there’s been fantastic progress.” The main form is now complete, and it resembles a stadium. The roof is nearly complete, and the terracing has been installed; MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) work has begun within the stadium itself.

“I drive by it almost every day, and every time I do, something has changed, and it looks even better.” In the next weeks, there will be a major visual milestone when the stadium seats begin to be installed, indicating that we are getting close.

“It’s a real game changer for us, our fans and the identity of the club, but also another great venue for a great city that is great at hosting big events.”

Whirlwind

Due to the events surrounding the club, Everton fans will undoubtedly be caught up in a tornado of emotions at this time.

While they will be thrilled that the stadium is progressing and taking shape, there are many unknowns about where the Toffees will play once it is done.

It appears to be a very spectacular edifice that might be a game changer for the Blues, but as part of the buyout agreement, 777 Partners has committed to raise the required funds to complete the development.

If the takeover were to go through, and there is a good probability that may be the case due to all the rumors around the corporation, that would possibly place the club in a precarious position.

The situation may become clearer in the next weeks, but there are definitely too many issues around the team right now for fans to be too enthused about the new stadium.
