Red to quit Newcastle United – He requires more minutes than the Magpies will give him.
Newcastle United goalkeeper Martin Dbravka has been urged to find a new club if his situation at St James’ Park does not improve.
The Slovakia international has yet to play this season and is filling in for first-choice goalkeeper Nick Pope at the Tyneside club. His status at Newcastle has had no effect on his national team playing time.
Dbravka made his debut in Slovakia’s 3-2 loss to Portugal in the European qualifiers. After the game, former Slovakia attacker Róbert Vittek asked the goalkeeper to think about his future with Eddie Howe’s team, and his words are below.
“He certainly piqued the interest of several interesting clubs with his performance against Portugal.” If he does not get a chance at Newcastle, I wish him luck in finding a club where he can play regularly in January,” he remarked.
After spending the second half of last season on loan at Manchester United, the 34-year-old returned to St James’ Park.
Dbravka only made two EFL Cup appearances for the Red Devils, and former Liverpool defender Martin krtel has questioned his decision to join them.
“I don’t want to say it was a bad decision; transfers to such clubs happen once in a lifetime, and he wanted to give it a shot.” However, he left as the number one pick and returned as the number two pick,” krtel stated.
krtel made this remark when appearing on Sport1 in Slovakia, and he has joined Vittek in encouraging his compatriot to ponder his future at Newcastle.
“A goalkeeper with his qualities deserves to catch [play].” Whether it will take place in Newcastle or elsewhere. “I am convinced that many agents, coaches, and officials watched the match against Portugal, and Martin Dbravka’s name was written down in many notebooks,” he continued.
