Sunderland to sign 14-goal ‘Magician’ in January
According to rumors, Sunderland are interested in bringing Manchester United youngster Amad Diallo back to the Stadium of Light if he becomes available in January.
The attacker spent the whole of last season on loan with the Black Cats, netting 14 goals in all competitions, including 13 in the Championship as Tony Mowbray’s side ended just outside the playoffs.
Before returning to Old Trafford, Diallo won the PFA Championship Fans’ Player of the Year award for the 2022/23 season, as well as Sunderland’s Young Player of the Year award.

The Ivory Coast international’s loan with Sunderland expired in the summer, and he would have hoped to break into Manchester United’s first-team this season under Erik ten Hag.
Diallo, though, was injured during preseason and has been out since. Nonetheless, the athlete recently posted a photo of himself in his training gear on Instagram with the message, ‘just a bit longer before returning’.
Sunderland will attempt to boost their attacking department by bringing Diallo back to the club on a short-term loan deal in January, according to iNews, if the Red Devils sanction the move.

Manchester United may take advantage of the opportunity to return Diallo to the Stadium of Light for the balance of the season. Diallo hasn’t played in a competitive game since last season and could be out for a few weeks.
Re-signing with the Black Cats would return the young winger to a familiar atmosphere where he may rediscover his best form.
