David Moyes has already made some brilliant moves this season, and West Ham are flying high in all competitions.
And, while the present situation is obviously critical, the manager must also keep an eye on the future
Fortunately, the future of the London Stadium seems bright, with one sensation presently taking all the attention
Callum Marshall, a young striker, scored four goals and provided two assists in the Premier League 2 last month, earning him the Player of the Month award for September.
“Callum Marshall has been named the PL2 Player of the Month for September 2023, topping an eight-man shortlist selected by the Premier League’s Football Development Panel,” the official Premier League website says
“His impressive start to the season has continued the fine form he has displayed since joining West Ham’s Academy in January 2022.
The teenager scored 23 goals in the 2022/23 season as the team won the Under-18 Premier League South and FA Youth Cup double, and his outstanding performances do not appear to be slowing down anytime soon
It has been a meteoric ascent for the young sensation, who must definitely be examined by first-team boss Moyes, especially given the several competitions in which West Ham is now involved.
The manager can call on Michail Antonio, Danny Ings, and Divin Mubama, but the club may just need another striker as they look to compete in the Premier League, League Cup, FA Cup, and Europa League this season.
In other West Ham news, a coach has disclosed one of the club’s stars’ reaction to “astounding” news.
