CRYSTAL PALACE WILL FACE A BATTLE WITH ASTON VILLA TO SIGN THEIR NEXT EBERE EZE.

Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, and Burnley are all interested in Jonathan Rowe, and Norwich City is now hoping to sign the Championship’s rising star to a new long-term contract.

He’s a wizard, you know?

As Jonathan Rowe smashes in goals like they’re going out of style in the yellow and black of Norwich City, serenaded by a swarm of lovestruck Canaries, the Carrow Road supporters have rarely missed an occasion to remind us that the free-scoring 20-year-old is, as they say, ‘one of their own’.

Rowe joined Norwich a decade ago, rising through the ranks to become one of David Wagner’s first names on the squad sheet.

And, despite interest from Burnley, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Brentford, and Sheffield United, Rowe’s strong connection with the East Anglian club will help Norwich retain his services.

Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are competing for Jonathan Rowe.

According to TEAMtalk, Norwich City are preparing to offer Rowe a ‘bumper new contract’ in response to increased interest from the league above.

“We don’t have to argue that he’s had a fantastic start,” Wagner stated in August, when Rowe kicked off the new campaign in spectacular fashion (Evening News).

“Four consecutive games with four goals is incredible for such a young lad who had never started a competitive first-team game (prior to this term).” So kudos to him.”

Since then, the goals haven’t come as frequently. However, a youngster called up to the England U21s for the first time this month appears to be on track to exceed the 20-goal threshold in his debut season of competitive senior football, with seven goals in 13 appearances across all competitions.

Crystal Palace’s interest, in particular, is unsurprising. In recent seasons, Roy Hodgson’s side has made exceptional use of the EFL market, with Ebere Eze and Michael Olise both joining from Queens Park Rangers and Reading, respectively.
