Daniel Farke must be eager to reintroduce a Leeds United player who is expected to be fit for the trip to Norwich City – View

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke said this week that right-back Djed Spence is working hard to recover from a knee injury and will be available for selection following the international break.

After their game against Bristol City, the Whites will be away for a fortnight before traveling to Norwich City, Daniel Farke’s former and most renowned employers.

Under fellow German David Wagner, the Canaries are looking like a strong contender for promotion this season, and Farke will know his team needs to be at their best to come away with a result from Carrow Road.

Update on Djed Spence
During this week’s preparations for games against QPR and Bristol City, Farke said in his pre-match news conference that right-back Djed Spence’s recuperation from a knee injury is progressing.

He hurt his lateral collateral ligament during training during the September international break, preventing him from building on his lone sub appearance thus far.

Farke confirmed to Phil Hay that the right-back will return after the forthcoming international break:

Farke will be ecstatic.
The arrival of Spence sparked a lot of enthusiasm among Leeds fans, and with good cause, given what we know about the 23-year-old’s possession skills.

He even demonstrated it in his brief cameo against Sheffield Wednesday, gliding through challenges as if they didn’t exist.

With Farke’s recent selection headaches with Luke Ayling and Jamie Shackleton, he must be relieved to know that his sure-fire top option for the position is available and waiting.

Leeds must be at their best for a trip to Norwich in two weeks, and Spence brings them that much closer.
