Daniel Farke’s Leeds team will face Bristol City at Elland Road on Saturday in their final game before the international break.

Matteo, who played for Leeds between 2000 and 2004, has closely followed Pearson’s career as a manager and praised the veteran’s ability to build tactically sound squads.

However, Matteo believes that Bristol City do have an attacking flow and that the hosts would have to be cautious.

“Tactically, Pearson has a reputation for solidifying teams,” Matteo told LUTV.

“However, it appears that they can also play with flair.” The team has objectives.”

With the home crowd rallying behind their team, Matteo believes Leeds United’s attitude to the game will be a deciding factor.

“However, it is how we approach the game, the fans we know will be behind us.”

“If we approach it properly, get that first goal and then go and get another it will just make things a little bit more confident going into the international break.”

Leeds have been sturdy at Elland Road this season and will start as firm favourites to see off the Robins, regardless of how Pearson lines up his team.
